The US temporarily paused construction of a floating pier near Gaza due to concerns over weather. High winds and sea swells caused unsafe conditions for soldiers involved in the operation, Centcom said. The partially built pier and military vessels involved in its construction have now moved to the Port of Ashdod in Israel, the statement added. The assembly will now be completed there before being moved to its intended location.
