The UN no longer had the food reserves to feed Gaza’s population, the director of its relief agency warned. Its UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East can now only provide flatbread and canned cheese – and then only in some cases. Thomas White, director of the UNRWA mission in Gaza, said that “hundreds” of aid trucks were needed each day to meet the population’s basic humanitarian needs.
