Israel has denied UN access to deliver fuel to hospitals in Gaza’s north “five times in the past week”, spokesman for the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric said in a briefing on Tuesday. This has left some hospitals “without provision for fuel for over 10 days,” Mr Dujarric said, adding that access to the north of Gaza is “particularly challenging” because it requires passing through an Israeli checkpoint.
