The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was concerned about any potential for escalation that could have consequences for people on both sides of the Blue Line dividing Lebanon and Israel, spokeswoman Kandice Ardiel stated. “We continue to implore all parties to cease fire, and any interlocutors with influence to urge restraint,” she said.
