UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the fast-deteriorating conditions in Gaza, warning that vital aid efforts are collapsing.

Israeli bombardments have intensified in recent days just as aid deliveries are being impeded, undermined and endangered, he said.

“The last lifelines keeping people alive are collapsing,” Guterres said in a statement, expressing deep concern over “growing reports of children and adults suffering from malnutrition”.
