Ukrainian opposition rejects 28-point plan as ‘Russian trap’

Ukraine’s main pro-European opposition party has condemned the leaked 28-point peace proposal, calling it a Kremlin-designed “trap” that undermines the country’s sovereignty. Iryna Gerashchenko, a senior member of parliament from the European Solidarity party, former President Petro Poroshenko’s political group in parliament, accused the plan of being “written in the Kremlin behind Ukraine’s back” and warned it would not gain public support.
