Footage and regional reports indicate that the Ukrainian military launched an overnight attempt to damage the Stavrolen petrochemical plant in southwestern Russia. Vladimir Vladimirov, the regional governor, confirmed in a Telegram post at dawn that Ukrainian drones attempted to attack targets in Budyonnovsk, triggering air defences. “There are fires in the industrial zone. Emergency services are on site,” he said, adding that there were no casualties, nor any damage to homes or other infrastructure in the area.
