Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s new Labour government is set to abandon the UK’s objections to efforts at the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants against Israeli leaders over alleged war crimes in Gaza. Britain will no longer be challenging warrant proceedings against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. This follows a review by Attorney General Lord Richard Hermer.
