The UAE carried out the 79th aid drop into the Gaza Strip in co-operation with Jordan and with the participation of Germany and Indonesia. It brings the total amount of aid parachuted in to more than 4,052 tonnes of food and various relief supplies, state news agency Wam reported. The aid drop came as part of the Birds of Goodness campaign, which is part of the UAE’s Operation Gallant Knight 3, under the directive of President Sheikh Mohamed. The operation aims to deliver relief aid to areas that are difficult to reach by land, and includes various shipments of food and urgent humanitarian supplies.
