A statement released by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem said that the women, a mother and daughter, died at the Holy Family Parish after overnight attacks near the church compound. The head of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales condemned what he called the “seemingly deliberate and callous killing” of two women by sniper fire.
