Two people died and at least 10 were wounded as Israeli warplanes attacked Janta, near the Lebanon-Syria border, the Lebanese Health Ministry said on Friday. The Israeli air force carried out at least four strikes on Janta, in eastern Lebanon’s Baalbek district, at dawn on Friday. The strikes come despite a recently extended ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, first signed in late November, which ended 14 months of hostilities.
