It emerged that Türkiye planned to pursue targets in northern Syria after it completed a cross-border operation against outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). “Threats posed by Kurdish militants or Da’ish on Turkiye are unacceptable,” an official stated adding that Ankara would clear threats along its southern border “one way or another”. “Syria is a national security problem for Turkiye. There is work being done on this already,” the official asserted.
