Turkey carried out air strikes in northern Iraq and destroyed 20 targets of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) after a terrorist attack in Ankara, the Turkish Interior Ministry said. The Turkish military increased air strikes in northern Iraq’s PKK bases in Gara, Hakurk, Metina, and Qandil, the statement said. Earlier, the group, which is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey and its Western allies, claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing at Turkey’s Interior Ministry in the capital.
