US President Donald Trump and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani have sat together in the Amiri Diwan and delivered opening remarks.
The Qatari Emir said he was “very excited” for the visit that could boost US-Qatari ties on all fronts – from investment to energy, to military cooperation.
He also highlighted the chance to “bring peace to the region”.
