US President Donald Trump told leaders of Arab and other Muslim-majority states at the start of a meeting at the UN that ending the war in Gaza is a priority. “We’re going to work very hard on this. This is going to be my most important meeting,” Mr Trump said, adding that the leaders present were “the ones that can do it”. He repeated figures for Israeli hostages in Gaza, saying “right now, they have 20 hostages and 38 dead bodies”.
