US President Donald Trump said that Israel’s move to reoccupy Gaza city could prove to be the “safer” option. “I actually think they’re safer in many ways [than] if you went in and you really went in fast and you did it,” Mr Trump said from the Oval Office, apparently referring to the remaining hostages. Asked why the US did not voice opposition to the reoccupation when hostage family members in Israel were doing so, Mr Trump said “not all of them” were against it.
