US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to strike Iran amid continuing American efforts to negotiate a new nuclear deal with Tehran. “I told [Netanyahu] this would be inappropriate to do right now, because we’re very close to a solution now,” Mr Trump told reporters. “I think they want to make a deal, and we can make a deal and save a lot of lives.”
