US President Donald Trump has told senior aides that he approved attack plans for Iran, but was holding off on the final order to see if Tehran will abandon its nuclear programme, The Wall Street Journal reported. Sources told the Journal Mr Trump hopes that threatening to join Israel’s strikes on Iran will compel Tehran to meet his demands. He acknowledged that he still may decide against it. “You don’t know. I may do it, I may not do it – I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do,” Mr Trump said at the White House on Wednesday during a ceremony to install a new flagpole.
