On Tuesday night, at least three terrorists from a banned group were killed in a confrontation with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Pakpattan.
According to the information, CTD troops carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Pakpattan, during which terrorists hiding in the vicinity opened fire.
As a consequence of the law enforcement forces shooting back, three terrorists were killed. According to a CTD official, four to five terrorists were able to escape the site.
The spokesman further stated that killed terrorists were engaged in the terrorist assault in Bahawalnagar on 10 Muharram. Terrorists’ hideouts were also searched for explosives and weapons.
