The head of a prominent media institution in Gaza and two other journalists were killed at the weekend, their relatives said. The Committee to Protect Journalists in New York said that the weekend deaths raised to 48 the number of journalists and media workers it had confirmed killed in the region since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The CPJ said that its list of those killed comprised 43 Palestinians, four Israelis, and one Lebanese.
