Taipei: On Jan 23, Taiwan’s defense ministry stated that in the latest uptick in tensions across the sensitive Taiwan Strait, Taiwan’s air force hustled again to warn away 39 Chinese aircraft. The Chinese warplanes entered Taiwan’s air defense zone. The Taiwan ministry revealed that Sunday’s Chinese mission involved 34 fighters plus four electronic warfare aircraft and a single bomber.
