Lahore: On November 18, it is reported that Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi was released from Kot Lakhpat jail, the Jail Superintendent Ijaz Asghar confirmed. Party's spokesperson Mufti Abid also validated the development and told that Saad Rizvi had reached the party's headquarters, Rehmatul Lil Alameen Mosque, where he was welcomed by hundreds of the party's delighted workers and proponents.
On Wednesday, the Punjab government have removed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi's name from the Fourth Schedule on November 7. "Therefore, the name of Hafiz Mohammad Saad is hereby deleted from the list of 4th Schedule of Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, with immediate effect," the notification stated.
On Friday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) declared the detention of Saad Hussain Rizvi, chief of the proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), 'illegal'. The appeal of his uncle about his detention was approved and the verdict was announced by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh.
