Syria’s UN envoy called on the Security Council to take immediate action to halt Israeli incursions on Syrian territory, urging the body to fulfil its mandate of maintaining international peace and security. Qusay Al Dahhak criticised Israel for exploiting Syria’s transitional period to advance its “occupation agenda” and demanded an end to Israeli occupation of Syrian territories. “What we need is an end of the Israeli aggressions on Syria. We need Israeli incursion on our territories in Al Quneitra and Jabal Elsheikh to be withdrawn,” Mr Al Dahhak said.
