According to the UN’s Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, the conflict in Sudan could be “worse than Ukraine” for civilians. Referring to the generals of Sudan’s army and its rival RSF, she stated: “They’ve gone Awol (absent without leave) and there’s no return to a status quo.” “We have to pull whatever strings we can to stop them fighting,” she added.
