Shahid Khaqan calls for Govt-Opposition talks at floor of Parliament

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the talks between government and opposition used to be held at the floor of the parliament. Talking to media in Multan Shahid Khaqan said that the talks between government and opposition should not be held in closed door but at the floor of the Parliament. Shahid Khaqan challenges 26th Constitutional Amendment in SHC

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday challenged the 26th Constitutional Amendment in the Sindh High Court. In a petition Shahid Khaqan has pleaded to the high court to declare the constitutional amendment as ‘unconstitutional’. He also pleaded to the court to restrain the judicial commission from functioning until the petition being decided. Govt cannot ban a political party: Shahid Khaqan

‘Awaam Pakistan’: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail launch new party

Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday formally launched a new party named Awaam Pakistan. Speaking at the ceremony in Islamabad, the former finance minister Miftah Ismail said that Awaam Pakistan would not follow the “hereditary politics”. Shahid Khaqan says won’t contest in election

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said he won’t contest the election. In a media interaction in Islamabad, Shahid Khaqan, a stalwart of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), ducked questions with regard to forming a new political party or quitting the PML-N.
