DNA Testing Advances in Hina Javed Murder Case

LAHORE: DNA tests of key suspects in the Hina Javed murder case have been completed at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency. Samples from her husband, father-in-law and domestic worker Zeeshan were collected in the presence of her brother, Fahad Javed. During the investigation, Zeeshan allegedly confessed and claimed Hina’s husband offered Rs100,000 for the killing. Both husband Faisal Asghar and his father denied the allegations. Rain Warning Issued for Punjab and KP

Punjab unveils FY27 budget with total outlay of Rs5.9tr

Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman on Tuesday unveiled a "people-friendly" budget for the financial year 2026-27, with a total outlay of around Rs5.9 trillion, marking a 10.7% increase over the previous year. Basant returns to Lahore after over two decades
