PM Sharif eyes $1bn trade volume as Pakistan, Kazakhstan ink over 30 MoUs

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Kazakhstan will join the Abraham Accords to have normalised relations between Israel and Muslim-majority nations. The announcement came after Trump said he had held a call with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Kazakh DPM Nurtleu arrives in Pakistan to 'cement bilateral ties'

Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu on Monday arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit. The Kazakh DPM was received at the airport by Additional Secretary West Asia Syed Ali Asad Gillani and other senior government officials, said the Foreign Office spokesperson. Kazakhstan takes global majors to court over oilfield revenues

Kazakhstan on Tuesday said it had begun international arbitration court proceedings against energy majors including ExxonMobil and Shell over $16.5 billion (15.2 billion euros) in costs deducted from the revenues from two oilfields.
