Coronavirus: China facing biggest Delta variant outbreak

China is fighting its largest COVID-19 outbreak, which is caused by the highly transmissible Delta variant, with some districts banning individuals from a northeastern city where infections have spread faster than elsewhere in the country in the last week. Between October 17 and November 14, a total of 1,308 domestically transmitted diseases with proven symptoms were detected on the mainland, surpassing the 1,280 local cases reported during the summer Delta outbreak, according to Reuters calculations based on official data. Delta Variant cases soar in Pakistan

Pakistan Covid-19 positivity ratio goes over 9% for the first time in nearly three months. According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), Covid-19 positive rate jumps to 9.06%. Total tests conducted in the last 24 hours were 62,462, out of which 5,661 tested positive. Pakistan reported 60 more deaths, while 4,050 people are in critical condition. Read More…

CM holds press conference ahead of Karachi lockdown

Number of quarantined patients increases

Due to the 4th wave of coronavirus and fetal delta variant, the number of infected patients has increased. Around 51,262 people are in quarantine and more than 2,860 are still under critical medical care. Sindh has the highest number of quarantine patients that is 33,68.
