Bajaur College Finally Opens After Years of Delay

The long-awaited Government Degree College Salarzai in Bajaur was inaugurated after a delay of about 12 years. The college has begun operating in a temporary building and is preparing to offer first and second-year classes in pre-medical, pre-engineering, computer science and fine arts. Attack on polio team in Bajaur kills two including cop

At least two people, including a police personnel, were killed after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a polio vaccination team in Bajaur district on Tuesday. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq, the incident occurred in the Tangi area of Salarzai tehsil, where assailants targeted a polio team during duty. He said a police official deployed for the team’s security and a passerby sustained critical injuries in the firing and later succumbed to their wounds while being shifted to the hospital. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Cloudburst, thunderbolt claim 16 lives in Bajaur

Calamitous rainfall with cloudburst and thunderbolt and flooding claimed at least 16 lives in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citing a spokesperson. Four houses completely destroyed in cloudburst last night. A rescue spokesperson said that seven people have been still untraced in Salarzai. Five persons died and four others injured as the rooftop of a house collapsed in Lower Dir. KP govt’s helicopter crashes during rescue operation; 5 embrace martyrdom

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has confirmed that a government MI-17 helicopter crashed while transporting relief supplies to Salarzai in Bajaur. According to official sources, contact with the helicopter was lost due to bad weather while it was flying over Mohmand’s airspace. The crash resulted in the martyrdom of all 5 crew members. KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that all possible efforts were made to re-establish contact with the helicopter before the crash was confirmed. Four killed in Bajaur blast targeting AC’s vehicle

At least four people were killed in blast targeting the assistant commissioner’s vehicle in Bajaur, KP. According to police, a powerful explosion near the Phatak Mela area of Bajaur left four people dead and several others injured. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the blast was a targeted attack on the vehicle of the assistant commissioner. Suicide bombers among 9 terrorists killed in Bajaur IBO: ISPR

The security forces on the night between October 23 and 24 killed nine “khawarij”, including two suicide bombers in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday. ASI killed in Bajaur IED blast

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was killed when his vehicle was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Mamund area of Bajaur district. According to police, an improvised explosive device targeted police officials in Lwee Mamund, Bajaur injuring police sub-inspector and constable. Independent candidate gunned down in Bajaur

Rehan Zeb Khan, an independent candidate, was gunned down in the Siddiqabad area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Bajaur district ahead of general elections 2024. According to details, the independent candidate was contesting elections from NA-8 and PK-22 seats. The police, in a statement, said Rehan Zeb Khan was canvassing in the area when unidentified assailants opened fire on his vehicle, leaving him dead on the spot.
