The UN Security Council has adopted a resolution calling on the Afghan Taliban to “swiftly reverse” all restrictive measures against women, condemning in particular its ban on Afghan women working for the United Nations. UNSC unanimously approves resolution calling on Taliban to swiftly reverse its curbs on women while Moscow’s envoy criticises the text, calling on US to return $7 billion assets “you’ve stolen” from Afghanistan.
