It emerged on Tuesday that Rohit Sharma had been named the new captain of India’s T20 team. He replaced Virat Kohli immediately after the team had humiliating defeats from Pakistan and New Zealand. The Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) tweeted Rohit’s name while announcing the squad for an upcoming tour by New Zealand.
