Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has come under pressure from Conservative MPs to increase the defense budget as he explained the UK’s role in the recent air attacks on Yemen. Mr Sunak was told by his MPs not to scrap naval resources including warships at a time when threats were growing. The comments came as he outlined to Parliament details of the attacks by US and UK forces against 14 targets in Yemen on Friday, saying people had to “recognize the risks of inaction”.
