The Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip reopened on Monday. Fourteen lorries from the UAE carried a fraction of the 15,600 tonnes of humanitarian and medical aid waiting in the Egyptian border city of Al Arish. The border crossing has been opened intermittently for the past several days, but an order came on Monday, the 106th day of the Gallant Knight operations, to allow the shipment into Rafah after the lorries were approved by inspectors.
