Queen Rania of Jordan met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, during a visit to Rome. During their meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza, the official Petra news agency reported. Queen Rania highlighted the lack of food, medical supplies and basic necessities following the suspension of aid deliveries into the enclave. She hailed Ms Meloni’s humanitarian support and provision of aid for Gaza’s people. She also emphasised the growing orphan crisis in Gazam where more than 39,000 babies and children have lost one or both parents.
