Pro-Palestinian activists have been staging protests across the UK outside branches of Barclays bank, which they claim has financial ties to companies supplying arms to Israel. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign said that the bank held more than £1 billion in shares, and provides over £3 billion in loans and underwriting to nine companies whose weapons, components, and military technology are being used by Israel. The PSC is calling for its supporters to boycott Barclay’s services until it “ends its grave complicity in Israel’s attacks on Palestinians”.
