Polio vaccinations suspended amid Israeli siege on northern Gaza

The final phase of Gaza polio vaccinations has been suspended as Israel continues a siege on northern Gaza, Unicef said on Wednesday. The UN and its Palestinian partners have postponed the third phase of vaccinations, due to begin today, “due to the escalating violence, intense bombardment, mass displacement orders, and lack of assured humanitarian pauses across most of northern Gaza”, Unicef said.
