Police and the district administration of Sialkot halted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists from holding a rally at the CTI ground on Saturday, using tear gas and batons to scatter the party supporters who resisted the move.

During the dispute, police arrested PTI leader Usman Dar and several other party supporters for attempting to organise a protest on Christian community land after DC Imran Qureshi had previously rejected permission.
