The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench directed police to produce former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in a week. Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of the LHC heard the petition filed against the imprisonment of Ahmed. Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer Syed Khurram Ali appeared before the court. The RPO sought 15 more days. Following the RPO’s request, the court said 15 days was too much as it was not a common case, even two days were too much.
