Palestine’s observer mission to the UN called for urgent international action to stop Israel’s war in Gaza. In a letter to the Security Council, the mission demanded an immediate ceasefire to protect Palestinians trapped in the enclave. “The international community must act to protect the millions of Palestinian children, women and men whose lives are being threatened by Israel,” it said.
