Palestinian security forces have besieged the Thabet Thabet hospital in Tulkarm where militant Mohammad Jaber Al Shuja’a has been receiving treatment. Gunfire was exchanged between armed men and security forces outside the hospital, in the occupied West Bank, as supporters of Mr Al Shuja’a tried to prevent his arrest. Hamas and the Tulkarm Brigades issued statements condemning the Palestinian Authority’s arrests and pursuit of “resistance fighters”.
