Palestinian politician slams Israel’s impunity after attack on UN facility in West Bank

Mustafa Barghouti, the secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, has condemned Israel’s storming of a UN training site in the Qalandiya refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. He says Israel has been emboldened to act with impunity because of the lack of consequences from the international community. “This is a very serious violation, but it is not the first one. It is a violation of international law, a violation of UN resolutions, a violation of UN institutions, a violation of the supposed immunity of UN agencies, and it’s a violation of International Court of Justice opinion,” Barghouti said.
