The Israeli army killed a Palestinian near Jenin on Monday, the Wafa news agency reported, as the military launched a large-scale raid on the nearby Jenin refugee camp and the city’s government hospital. Thaeer Hamo, 21, was shot in the abdomen in the town of Al Yamoun, west of Jenin, and died in hospital. In Jenin, army bullets struck the maternity ward of the government hospital, shattering windows and “causing panic” among patients, the hospital director told Wafa.
