More Palestinians have been killed by Israel in 2023 than any other year since the Nakba in 1948, according to figures shared by official Palestinian media. A total of 22,404 people have been confirmed killed this year, Wafa cited the Central Bureau of Statistics as saying, with 22,141 killed since October 7. Ninety-eight per cent of the victims, including 9,000 children, were killed in Gaza, it added.
