To participate in the Olympics two Pakistani athletes sprinter Najma Parveen and javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem departed to Tokyo. Arshad Nadeem before his departure said that he was fully prepared and requested the nation to pray for him. Moreover, he said that Pakistan has to win a medal in the javelin throw. Najma Parveen will appear on 2nd August in the Olympic stadium for the 200-meter race.
