It emerged that a scientist of Pakistani origins, Tahir Ghani, had been named the Intel 2022 Inventor of The Year. In his 28-year-long career at Intel, Ghani filed more than 1,000 patents and also led teams responsible for some of the most revolutionary changes in transistors. Sanjay Natarajan, senior vice president of Intel and co-GM of Logic Technology Development, said that Ghani’s contribution to semiconductor technology was enormous and that he was proud to call him one of the industry’s greatest inventors.
