According to the National Command and Operation Centre, Pakistan continues to see a declining trend in COVID-19 infections, with the country reporting 1,021 new cases of the pandemic in the last 24 hours (NCOC).
According to the nerve centre of the country’s COVID-19 response, 21 more persons died from the viral illness during this time period, bringing the total death toll to 28,173.
A total of 43,578 samples were examined, with 1,021 of them testing positive for the virus, bringing the overall number of confirmed cases in the country to 1,260,669. The infection rate increased and was recorded at 2.34 percent, up from 1.62 percent the day before.
