Oil prices fell ahead of Friday’s meeting. Brent, the benchmark for two thirds of the world’s oil, was down by 0.60 per cent at 12.06pm UAE time to $66.44 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate – the gauge that tracks US crude – was trading 0.66 per cent lower at $63.54 a barrel.
