Islamabad: On Monday, a district and sessions court dismissed three pleas against the Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Ahsan Younas, filed by the primary accused, Zahir Jaffer, in the Noor Mukadam murder case. The petition pleaded the court to authorize the IGP and his officials to perform their duties and let the court move forward with the case in a legal manner. “The IGP and senior police officers held a press conference on January 25 and ‘attempted to give an impression that the court proceedings are conducted wrong’ and need clarification,” the statement said.
