Dr. Sanjay Gupta, a medical correspondent, noted that medical personnel were able to restart Damar Hamlin’s heart on the field after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The Buffalo Bills issued a statement confirming Hamlin’s heartbeat was “restored” on the field: “Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in the Buffalo Bills’ game versus the Cincinnati Bengals. ….. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”
