Miliband Signals Tougher UK Stance on West Bank

British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband on Tuesday described the situation in Palestine as a “moral emergency”, accusing Israel’s government of ignoring settler violence in the West Bank. He said Britain was increasingly concerned about alleged war crimes in Gaza and called the occupation unlawful. Miliband announced measures targeting goods, services and property linked to illegal settlements, while reaffirming London’s support for a two-state solution and stronger action.
